The high-quality Maxxis carcass with 60 threads per inch or 23 threads per cm is not only protected under the tread as usual, but also all around the sidewalls with our innovative SilkShield. The high quality, very durable Maxxis rubber compound in the center of the tread, which also convinces with low rolling resistance, is complemented on the sides by a grippy compound that offers the best cornering grip even in wet conditions. Reflective strips on the sidewalls enhance safety. With its high stability at low weight, the Overdrive Excel is also very suitable for pedelecs/e-bikes with support up to 25 km/h.
